This week we will learn about volume in Litres (L) and Millilitres (ml). When there is a small amount of liquid we use ml to measure. For example, you may have a bottle of water that has 500 ml in it. A millilitre is a small amount. It is less than a teaspoon. When there is a larger amount of liquid, we use L to measure. For example, we would measure the amount of water in a swimming pool or gas in a car tank in litres. Look around the house to see what you can find that is measured in millilitres and what is measured in litres.
